While we are waiting for the allocation of portfolios in the new Commission (when we will provide an in-depth analysis of which pieces of legislation will be dealt with by each Commissioner), we thought to take the time to check the data behind the gender diversity debate (which, along with power-division reasons, seems to be slowing down the process of formation of the new College). 

Since the EU enlargement in 2004, this is how the picture looks like in terms of which country has sent to Brussels men or women as commissioners (the stats take into account the gender of the likely new commissioners too). You can find the full table here
